The McAuley Virtual Orchestra Performance for Past and Present Members

Although we have recently had to make the extremely sad decision to cancel this year’s orchestral course due to the current Covid 19 situation, we are undertaking to produce an exciting virtual orchestra performance of a well- known medley which, in the nature of our very successful recent orchestral course projects, looks to bring together our current student orchestra members and our very supportive past/ alumni orchestra players, of which a significant number of you have recently joined us for our successful collaborations.

ALL past Senior Orchestra players are very welcome to participate from whichever era, regardless of whether you have been able to join us in person for recent orchestral courses or not.

The aim is to send in your video recordings by the end of Saturday 4th July so that the final performance can be edited and released as soon after Sunday 5th July (the original concert date for this year’s cancelled course!) as is feasible.

If you are interested in participating in this ambitious and exciting venture, please contact us at or to obtain further details, including the recording, score, parts and rehearsal reminders.

The McAuley Music Department looks forward to hearing from you.

After consultation with the bus companies we have been assured that all buses to and from school will operate on Friday 27th September during the 2019 UCI Road World Championships and school will therefore be open as normal.  There may however, be some delays due to race traffic or diversions which may be in place.
